I don’t know of many places in the world where a woman can go running at night safely, and few where they can safely do it alone in daylight hours. Depending on where you are in the Midwest, there can be a lot to do. It also depends on what you like to do. Plays and museums? Not so much. Hunting, fishing, and camping? Ample opportunities. University towns tend to be more progressive and have more arts activities.
