I don’t dispute the current situation. Of course it’s different when you have the money and legal team behind you. Those resources are not available to the little guys.
One of the unintended consequences of increased protections for renters is that the small time investors who owned single family rentals and had personal relationships with their tenants weren’t able to absorb the increased costs of the new restrictions and sold. This has increased the prices of single family homes because so many have been converted to rentals.
Like farming and so many other things, corporations are running the Mom and Pops out of business.
