I don’t always notice the read time when I choose a story to investigate. I have, however, found myself getting bored in the middle of a piece that I started out enjoying. The writer’s message got lost in too much sauce. One benefit of the read time notice is that it can signal the writer that they might need to edit before they publish. You can see it on your drafts.
