I born in 1958. There may have been a few women who did this sort of thing but mine certainly didn’t. She had a masters degree from Columbia and high self-esteem. She would have rolled her eyes at this nonsense. My parents had a business and they worked together. My grandmother usually cooked dinner, but she certainly didn’t worry about any of that other crap. My father did the grocery shopping most of the time because my mother didn’t drive. Just because it was in a magazine, don’t kid yourself that it was “normal” or that everyone did it. They didn’t.
