I agree, Mike. There's this narcissistic attitude among some that if they're failing, the platform is failing. It's simply untrue.

I made over $2,000 in a month where three top writers quit. I was doing better than ever when they were doing worse than ever. Medium wasn't floundering as far as I was concerned.

I don't think any of us should expect to be on Medium forever making more and more money as time goes on. It's a great place to get started, learn, experiment, and build confidence.

When it doesn't work for you anymore, leave and find what does. Constant success here can stand in the way of you writing a book, screenplay, or course that will take you to the next level professionally. Sometimes you have to close one door to open another one.
