I was dreading this call. It could only mean one thing: he wasn’t coming. My son lives on the opposite coast, so we only see him one or two times a year. This year, it will be one less.
You may find yourself in the same position. Our holiday get-together with friends is not happening either. I bought a piecaken to share with ten people. My husband and I were planning to each have a piece. What the heck do we do with the rest of it? Eat it every day for a week? Ugh!
Things are starting to lock down worldwide: restaurants, sporting events, plays, and concerts. As a result, thousands whose holiday plans included performances of The Nutcracker and Handel’s Messiah are going to miss out. It’s deja vu all over again. This sucks.
