How to Make Good Money on Medium by Sitting on Your Ass
I haven’t published anything in three weeks and still made over $100. Here’s how I did it.
Stories like this are our guilty pleasures, aren’t they? We know the titles and pictures are clickbaity. We secretly hate that other writers crow about how clever they are while implying they’re just a wee bit superior than the rest of us. But, like accidents and burning buildings, we just can’t look away.
There’s always hope in our greedy little hearts that maybe, just maybe, this time, somebody’s going to “slip us the answer” to riches beyond imagining. So, even though we’ve been burned before, we’re still drawn toward that flame. I don’t intend to burn anybody. I guarantee there’s value in what I have to tell you. I can’t guarantee, however, that it’s what you want to hear.
My year-long stint on Medium
It’s been one year since I published my first story on Medium. My riches have not been astonishing, but I guess I’ve done better than most. My earnings for the last 12-months were $2652.00 for 200 stories. The secret to my relatively modest success is in my last sentence. It also shows why I was able to earn over $100 in three weeks without publishing a single story. Let me explain.
