Here’s why that’s not a good idea for everyone. If you suffer from depression, taking your shoes off in the house makes it that much easier to crawl back in bed. I was advised to always wear lace up shoes indoors, especially if I have things to accomplish around the house. I find my productivity dips way down when I walk around in socks or slippers.
