Haven't read your stuff in a long time. I'm impressed that you're still at it: making wide generalizations about the places you've lived based on narrow personal experiences, calling it "what it's like to live here" and getting away with it. The longer you're in England, the more things you'll find to complain about. (You already miss Trader Joe's and chatting up strangers.) Beat up on them for a change. America has had enough.
