Great summation, Ilona. I moved to a new state in 2017. The first two years were spent renovating our house. After that, I tried community chorus, a couple of book clubs, and a women's group. I didn't click with anyone. Then COVID hit. Once the in-person ban lifted, I started auditioning for community theatre. (Acting is my first love.) I'm starting rehearsals for my fourth show tonight. Finally, I'm making friends. I am also refreshing old friendships by meeting people in person, calling them on the phone, and sending letters in the mail. You have to work at it, but it's worth it.
