Great list, Christine! My favorite has to be Ona Munson’s Belle Watling in GWTW. Yeah, yeah, I know she was a racist rebel who helped fund the “cause", but her little bell earrings were so on the nose and she disses the hell out of Scarlett deliciously (speaking of whores…). Ona also played a Chinese “gambling house" owner named Mother Gin Sling in The Shanghai Gesture. In the stage version, the character’s name is Mother Goddamn and she’s clearly a madam. The 1941 film was so offensive that the Chinese consulate issued a complaint. That’s first class whoring right there!
