Great information, Roz. One idea is to use the real names in your first draft and then auto replace them before submitting. This is especially helpful if it’s a “it happened to me story.” If Heidi done you wrong, you might have trouble ginning up the same feelings if you call her Candy. Just be sure you proofread the heck out of it!
