Great analysis, Pete. The original Blade was great and brutal in a way that a Marvel movie would never be today. When I saw it in the theater, some parents grabbed their kids and hauled them out of there when things got too intense. The last thing the big Marvel money machine wants is a movie parents won’t take their kids to see.
