Great advice, Susan. I grew up in a large family but my husband and I only had one child and he’s 27. My sister has three adult girls. I was a bit jealous this year because her Christmas resembled the ones we had growing up. All her kids were home with partners and grandkids in tow. My son changed his plan to come home due to the fact that Omicron was hitting hard, he hadn’t gotten his booster yet, and the prospect of 16 hours round trip with a mask on wasn’t appealing. But, we did a Zoom call and still had a nice time. It’s important to adjust your expectations as times change.
