Gratitude is a great balm for the soul, isn’t it, Alison? This made me cry. My niece and her husband came for a brief visit Friday evening and it was such a joy to have people in the house. It was also a good excuse to clean in preparation, something I struggle to do when depressed.

Although it will just be my husband and me this Christmas, I found out this morning that I got a part in a Christmas play, so my holiday season will be spent doing what I love best. I’ll have cast and crew to stuff with home-baked treats.

I have often used the shopping cart as a walker myself. In some parts of the U.S., like Montana, they call it a buggy. Isn’t that quaint? The first time I heard someone say it, she was referring to one in the parking lot (car park?) I thought she’d brought a horse and wagon to the grocery store!
