Good tips, Sean. My husband and I have been together since 1977 and married since 1983. We never had separate bank accounts, but I think it's a great idea if you can swing it. First Lady Lady Bird Johnson once said, "I wouldn't have a joint bank account with the Angel Gabriel." Of course, she inherited a lot of money. For most of my marriage, there wasn't enough in the bank account to fight over!
