Good point, George. People differ in their values. It’s not one size fits all. My husband and I hope to keep our home. It’s not large, but the yard is. I would be horribly depressed to have to give up my garden. The years I’ve spent in apartments I hated. So many have balconies overlooking the parking lot. Not exactly inspiring! I think your family did the right thing and made your mother’s final years much happier. Bravo!
