Gibson has admitted he suffers from bipolar disorder. Many people who do self-medicate, which makes things even worse. It's so difficult to treat people with both bipolar disorder and addiction, that very few treatment facilities accept them. With the right medication and treatment, some people's lives can be transformed. I know of at least two people who have successfully made that journey. Nobody is as bad as the worst thing they've done. I hope he's getting the help he needs.
