Does a mentally stable person act that way in public? Is this typical of people in general? It’s not a case of “rewarding” her behavior. Elphick is not a toddler. The fact that she was acting like one would prompt a reasonable person to realize that something’s wrong with her. I, and imagine you, too, would want to de-escalate the situation and back off. I’ve encountered people with mental health issues in public before and the last thing you want to do is mock them or freak them out any further. Unless, of course, you have a YouTube channel…
