Ditto on the public transport. I was so tightly packed into tram in Istanbul that I couldn't escape the creep who started groping my ass. A few well-placed jabs of my elbow ended that nonsense. Also, the names of the stops were so similar that I couldn't remember which one I wanted. Finally I yelled, "Does anyone here speak English?" Thankfully, a lovely lady from Texas who traveled there frequently on business answered, "I do!" and helped me out.
