Matisse and Mam'zelle are dogs but are different
As different as two dogs can be
Matisse, a young poodle
Mam'zelle, an old hound
They live in a town by the sea

Although he is young, Matisse doesn't run
He doesn't chase birds or the Cat
He is quiet and steady
But always is ready
When a friend needs a paw or a chat

Mam'zelle, although old, is courageous and bold
She never backs down from a fight
She's loyal and trusty
Though her joints may be rusty
She has never bitten, but might
